Dr Joe McCarthy is a fixed-term lecturer in the ANU's College of Arts and Social Sciences. Although Joe's PhD thesis explored China's environmental policy reform, he has recently become more interested in examining academic casualisation. A research interest that grew from experiencing eight out of the past ten years as a casual academic.
