Elizabeth’s professional background is almost equally divided between work in emergency logistics (as an Australian Army Officer and with NGOs) and in the climate science and policy sector. This took her to East Timor, Africa, the Middle East and the Pacific Islands. After a master’s thesis on sustainable freight transport in 2007, she worked in consulting, stakeholder engagement and climate risk communication in the transport and Government sector. On completion of her PhD in 2020, she is now an occasional writer, beginner gardener and enjoys regional community life.
